Hey there, Iron City family and friends!

March rolls around, and it’s our cue at Iron City Sports Bar to trade in our everyday decor for shades of emerald and gold. That’s right, St. Paddy’s Day is upon us, and at Irish City Sports Bar, we’re gearing up to make this year’s celebration one for the books!

From Tuesday, March 12th through Sunday, March 17th, we’re once again transforming Iron City into “Irish City Sports Bar”, featuring our specialty St. Paddy’s Menu and festive cocktails and beers on draft. We’ll still be offering our standard menu with your favorite wings, burgers, and steakhouse favorites.

And no, your eyes aren’t playing tricks on you. Our marquee sign is now reading “Irish City Sports Bar” for the month of March, a fun tradition we’ve been doing since 2018 that always sparks curiosity and conversation among our guests. Rest assured, it’s the same Iron City charm, just with a little extra luck of the Irish.

And special thank you to Kyle Herron of Herron Contracting for helping us swop-out our IRON for IRISH on our light-up sign on the front of the building, it was freezing cold that morning of install!  Herron Contracting services Logan and surrounding counties with home and business renovations, remodels, new additions and more. They are a family owned and operated local contractor, and we have worked with Kyle and his brother Jacob on many projects over the past few years and have enjoyed their professionalism and quality, you can find out more about their business and recent projects on their Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/herroncontractingllc

What’s On The Menu?

David Resnik, General Manager & co-Owner, has put together a wonderful specialty menu that highlights fan favorites from over the years, as well as a few new surprises! Here’s a sneak peek at what’s cooking:

  • House-Made Corned Beef: Our delicious Reuben Sandwich served on rye bread is making a triumphant return, alongside our mouthwatering loaded Irish nachos and fries, complete with chipped corned beef and toppings.
  • Sauerkraut Balls: By popular demand, our from-scratch sauerkraut balls are back, served with Thousand Island dressing on the side. This limited-time feature is a community favorite, so make sure to grab ’em while you can!
  • Bread Pudding (made from scratch in-house): What’s a feast without dessert? Our bread pudding is the perfect sweet treat to cap off your meal.
  • Green Beer and Specialty Drinks on our bar menu: Sip on a keg of green beer (Miller Lite), pint of Guinness, or try one of our specialty Irish cocktails and mocktails.

Get Your Selfie Served Up on a Guinness – Here’s How!

We will be putting your selfie on your Guinness pint using a Guinness Foam Art Machine at the bar on Thirsty Thursday March 14th from 6-8PM – Get your head on your beer’s head! (watch our Facebook page for more details as we get closer to the event at www.facebook.com/ironcitysportsbar)

Imagine glancing down at your pint of Guinness and seeing a familiar face staring back – your own! This St. Patrick’s Day, we’re turning your selfies into a frothy masterpiece, right on top of your beer. But how do we capture your smile in the creamy head of a Guinness, you ask?

The magic lies in the use of natural malt extract. This innovative technique involves layering a detailed image of your selfie onto the beer’s foam. The malt extract is carefully added to the top of your pint, transforming the foam into a canvas for your selfie. And the best part? This creative twist doesn’t compromise the beloved, rich flavor of Guinness. Your beer, complete with your selfie, remains as delicious and drinkable as ever.

So, raise a glass to innovation and cheers to a pint that’s as unique as you are!
